5th Annual Conference of the Labour Law Community

The DIGILARE project was prominently featured during the 5th Annual Conference of the Labour Law Community (LLC), held in Cagliari on 14–15 November 2025. This high-level academic event examined the boundaries of labour law in the context of digital, ecological, and geopolitical transitions, consolidating its role as a leading forum for scholarly exchange.
The conference benefited from the leadership of project member Piera Loi, who acted as host, as part of the Scientific Committee and Professor of Labour Law at the University of Cagliari.

Within this framework, Lidia Gil Otero contributed with an in-depth analysis of algorithmic work management and data protection, offering innovative perspectives on regulatory challenges posed by artificial intelligence. Daniel Pérez del Prado addressed the implications of climate change as a social risk, highlighting its impact on labour law and collective bargaining. Both issues are developments of the WHAT coordinate of DIGILARE.
Furthermore, José María Miranda Boto, as member of the Scientific Committee, chaired debates on the challenges of AI for labour law that dealt with the role of workers’ representatives, while Jenny Julén Votinius chaired the session that explored emerging realities such as neurotechnologies and extended reality in the workplace.
